With momentum on their side, Daegu rallied to win the game 3-2 in the bottom of the 10th inning when Lee Chan laid down a sacrifice bunt with the bases loaded. Yang Hyun-jong and Son Kyung-ho, who hit the tying run in the ninth inning, took home the tournament MVP and managerial awards, respectively.

With the victory, Daegu became the first team in the 2000s to win the phoenix tournament four times in five years – 2003, 2010, and 2018.
